CAZAL was founded in 1975 and its name is derived from the name of designer Cari Zalloni. His work rejected both subtlety and established rules – he designed glasses as striking design objects with large proportions, geometric lines, and elaborate details.
In the 1980s, CAZAL became an integral part of hip-hop culture. Iconic models appeared in music videos, films, and on the faces of artists, and to this day, they remain among the most recognizable glasses of their era.
Bold acetate, unusual color combinations, gold accents, and daring constructions give the frames an unmistakable visual power. CAZAL was not created to follow trends – it created an aesthetic that others continue to imitate to this day.
