Ray-Ban

Ray-Ban entered the world of eyewear in 1937 with the Aviator model, originally created for US Air Force pilots. Its characteristic teardrop shape and green lenses helped reduce glare at high altitudes—but a technical solution gradually became one of the most famous silhouettes in the history of eyewear.

Later came the Wayfarer model, which moved Ray-Ban from the aviation environment into film, music, and the streets of world cities. Its bold acetate frame accompanied the rock scene, Hollywood celebrities, and subsequent generations who adapted it to their own style.

Ray-Ban managed to turn functional glasses into cultural icons. The Aviator, Wayfarer, and other classic models constantly return in new colors and finishes, but their foundation remains the same – an authentic design that is recognizable even without a prominent logo.
