Who is entitled to the contribution?
Every VšZP policyholder with an active Health Wallet MINI or MAXI can use a contribution of up to €100 towards glasses – frame or lenses.
What is the Health Wallet MINI and MAXI?
The Health Wallet MINI is for individuals and lets you use contributions towards selected health benefits. The Health Wallet MAXI is for a group of 3 to 8 policyholders and lets group members share contributions according to VšZP rules.
Do I need a prescription? Who issues it?
Yes. To get the contribution you need a voucher for glasses or the relevant optical aid from an eye doctor. Before buying, check the insurer's current conditions and the validity of the voucher.
What contribution can I get?
The amount of the contribution depends on the policyholder's age and the type of optical aid. If the conditions are met, the contribution can reach up to €100. Specific conditions and intervals may differ for children and adults.
How do I claim the contribution?
You buy the glasses from an optician who meets the VšZP conditions. You then apply to the insurance company for the contribution and submit the required documents. The application must be submitted within the set deadline.
What should I watch out for?
Before buying, check that you meet all the conditions for the contribution, that you have a valid voucher from an eye doctor and that the optician meets the insurer's conditions. It is also important to meet the application deadline and keep the proof of payment.
